Leading Journal of the Irish & UK Fishing Industries

With less than four months to go and over 100 companies confirmed, Ireland’s flagship commercial fishing exhibition promises to showcase the very best of the industry’s products and services under one roof.

Recognising the diverse nature and changing landscape of the industry, Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager with Mara Media, says that she has made several additions to the event based on visitor and exhibitor feedback.

“We were delighted to be able to host a face-to-face exhibition again last year, with everyone noting that it was fantastic to be able to network and conduct business in the personalised setting of the Irish Skipper Expo after a tough few years.”

“However, the industry in Ireland has undergone significant changes in recent years and we want to ensure that the show reflects this – continuing under the motto of, ‘Your Industry, Your Show’.”

“Having attended a number of fishing trade shows across Europe and the UK in the last few months, and consulting with a range of leaders in the industry, we have added to the show this year, ensuring that our visitors have every opportunity to get the most out of their experience.”

The 2023 Irish Skipper Expo will include more inshore exhibitors, with a greater number of outside boats and equipment on display. This is in addition to the huge variety of exhibiting companies with every product and service represented – from shipyards to marine electronics, deck machinery, trawl gear and creels, as well as catch handling systems, insurance services and IT support solutions.

The announcement that the IFA Aquaculture’s annual conference and AGM will take place at the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel on the eve of the show was also a welcomed addition and with new companies such as Errigal Training centre and Ocean winds, the show will also be expanding the focus on the offshore sector.

Offering all visitors the chance to beat the queues, the pre-registration service is now open online where you can secure your free pass to the event and simply collect your badge on the day.
