The boats inside the exhibition hall have long been one of the main attractions at the Scottish Skipper Expo, drawing visitors from the moment the doors open. Nothing captures attention quite like the impressive sight of the latest fishing vessels towering above the show floor.
After a two-year break, the 2026 Scottish Skipper Expo offers the perfect opportunity to see an outstanding line-up of vessels all in one place. With six boats confirmed to date inside the hall at P&J Live in Aberdeen, visitors can step on board, compare designs, and meet the builders directly – while also visiting the many suppliers exhibiting alongside them. Whether you’re exploring options for a new build or planning upgrades, this is the ideal event to make those arrangements under one roof.
Returning is Kilkeel-based G Smyth Boats, a familiar name at the show. The company will exhibit the new 7.3m Maxus Fast Cat. “The Aberdeen show is a highlight for us, said Gerry Smyth. “It’s a great chance to show off our latest boat, meet suppliers and customers in person, and get hands-on feedback. Having a vessel on display makes the whole experience for visitors so much more worthwhile.”
Also, among the exhibitors, Preston-based builder Warrior Boats will make a return to Aberdeen. “We were very pleased with previous show in Aberdeen and look forward to continuing our participation in the Boatmart with a 5.7m amphibious boat. We are also busy working on a new 6.95-metre specifically for commercial fishing due for completion later next year.”
Joining them will be Poleson Marine and Audacious Marine Boats & Mouldings adding further variety to the line-up and giving visitors other high-quality options to explore under one roof.
A new addition this year will be PBP Services, led by Peter Bruce (Patsy) and his sons Jonathan, Matthew, and P.A. Bruce. The company has recently acquired a large quantity of Gemini and Kingfisher hull moulds, formerly owned by Anderson Marine of Peterhead. Building on their 56 years of experience, the Bruce family are expanding into boatbuilding and will have two vessels on display at the 2026 Expo – marking an important new chapter for the business.
“This will be a fantastic opportunity for visitors to see so many vessels together, speak directly with the builders, and source everything they need,” said show organiser Sharon Boyle. “The boats always create a real buzz throughout the hall and highlight the innovation and craftsmanship at the heart of our fishing industry.”
