Men United has thanked organisers, exhibitors and visitors following a highly successful partnership with, where the charity was selected as the event’s official charity partner for the 2026 exhibition in Aberdeen. The North East – based men’s mental health charity was present throughout the two-day exhibition at P&J Live, engaging with visitors, exhibitors and industry representatives while helping raise important awareness of the support services and work carried out by the organisation.

Following the event, Men United expressed its gratitude to organisers Mara Media, exhibitors and visitors for the support received throughout the show and during the popular Thursday evening Show Reception held at The Douglas Hotel. A spokesperson for Men United said: “Firstly, we would just like to say a huge thank you for choosing Men United as this year’s chosen charity for the Skipper Expo. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity and for all the help, support and social media coverage we received in the lead-up to the event and throughout the show itself.

“The Skipper Expo was an extremely valuable event for us this year. The exposure and awareness it gave Men United was absolutely incredible, and thanks to the support received, we were able to connect with so many people who may not have known about the work we do. The conversations we had across the two days were amazing and will hopefully lead to even more opportunities, support and connections for the charity moving forward.”

Fundraising throughout the event generated an impressive total of £1,318 for the charity. This included £560 raised during the Thursday evening Show Reception collection, alongside additional donations collected throughout the exhibition with support from Faithlie Trawl and Seafood Scotland. Sharon Boyle of organisers Mara Media said the company was delighted to support the charity during this year’s exhibition. “We were very proud to work with Men United throughout Scottish Skipper Expo 2026. Mental health awareness and support services are extremely important within all industries and communities, including the fishing sector, and we were delighted to help provide a platform to raise awareness of the excellent work the charity carries out. We would also like to thank everyone who donated and supported the fundraising activities throughout the event.”

The charity’s presence throughout the exhibition was warmly received by exhibitors and visitors alike, adding another positive element to what proved to be a highly successful Scottish Skipper Expo in Aberdeen.
