The Developing Site Investigation Methodologies (DeSIRE) Survey will be carried out from 13th until the 26th July in the North Irish Sea. The approximate location of these works is given in Appendix 1 and 2 below.
The equipment and techniques to be used include:
- Seismic refraction and multichannel analysis of surface wave (MASW) equipment;
- Sparker seismic equipment;
The details of the survey vessels are as follows:
The vessel will display appropriate lights and signals. Work will be performed on a daytime schedule. Seismic surveying using refraction equipment and a sparked system will be performed during daylight hours in accordance with safe operating practices regarding MMO procedures and cognisant of fishing gear.
