With just 5 months to go until the Limerick Irish Skipper Expo 2025, it’s time to reel in your chance to attend the only Commercial Fishing Expo in the British Isles this year! Over 90 top companies from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the UK, France , Denmark and Norway, already on board, ready to showcase the latest gear and innovations in the industry. Don’t let this golden opportunity slip through the net – make sure you’re part of the biggest event in commercial fishing.
Another company returning to the Irish Skipper expo next year is Proteum . Recently Proteum has teamed up with Zelim, and has launched the world’s first unmanned man overboard (MOB) rescue vessel, called the Guardian, at the SMM trade show in Hamburg.
This remote-controlled boat is designed to save people who fall overboard, using Zelim’s ‘Swift’ conveyor system and detection technology to locate and recover both conscious and unconscious individuals.
With a 400HP motor, the Guardian can move quickly at over 30 knots, has a range of 150 nautical miles, and works well even in bad weather conditions where traditional rescue boats may struggle. The detection system can tell the difference between people and other objects in the water, and the Guardian can also be used for security patrols or recovery missions.
Proteum expressed pride in supplying the propulsion and controls system aboard the Guardian and looks forward to continued collaboration with Zelim as they progress with future projects.
Don’t miss out on visiting Proteum at their stand at Irish Skipper Expo 2025, You can find them at stand C2!
The 2024 Irish Skipper Expo visitor/Exhibitor feedback has shown that over 90% of attendees will return to next years show, due to the positive comments given about the amount of exhibitors, types of products on display and products shown. We hope to make next year’s show just as memorable.
