As Scottish Skipper Expo 2026 gets underway this week, the industry is looking forward to coming together once again at the much-anticipated Show Reception, taking place on Thursday evening, 7th May, at The Douglas Hotel, Aberdeen.

Held on the opening day of the Expo, the reception remains a key highlight of the event — offering exhibitors, visitors and invited guests the opportunity to relax, meet, and continue conversations in a more informal setting.

The evening is kindly supported by Commercial Oils (Certas Energy), Yanmar, and Sunderland Marine / NorthStandard, whose continued backing ensures the reception remains a valued part of the show experience.

This year, we are also proud to support Men United, a North East–based men’s mental health charity, as the beneficiary of the evening’s fundraising, with all funds raised going directly to the organisation and its important work within the local community.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a selection of tasty, locally sourced seafood, kindly provided by G & J Jack, MFV Sunrise FR359, and J Smith Fish Merchants, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere on the night.

The evening will be complemented by live music from Poteen Irish/Scots Folk & Ceilidh Band, creating an enjoyable and relaxed setting for all attending.
