Parkol have delivered a 2nd state of the art scalloper for West Coast Sea Products Ltd.

In late March, looking resplendent in her blue and white paintwork, Halcyon BA 72 left Whitby on her maiden fishing trip. The boat was built as a sister ship to the Alcedo BA 77 that was also built by Parkols and delivered to WCSP Ltd in 2020. At that time the Alcedo was the largest fishing vessel to be built in the UK for 20 years.

Halcyon was designed by Ian Paton of S C McAllister and built at Parkols Teesside yard. She was lifted into the water on January 9th 2025, exactly five years after her sister ship, Alcedo entered the water at the Teesside yard on 10th January 2020, after a few weeks finishing off at Teesside, Halcyon steamed down to Whitby for final fitting out.
