One of the many advantages of the Irish Skipper Expo venue at the UL Sport Arena in Limerick is its accessibility from all corners of Ireland, making it the perfect location to stage this flagship event for the Irish fishing industry.

International Travelers:
Shannon airport is just 26km from Limerick, with excellent bus and taxi services available throughout the day, allowing for access to the venue in 35 minutes. For

Northeast of Scotland travelers, there are daily flights to Shannon/Dublin Airports from,

  • Aberdeen
  • Glasgow International
  • Edinburgh

Coming from the East of England there are daily flights to Shannon/Dublin Airports from,

  • Leeds Bradford
  • Humberside
  • Teesside
  • Newcastle

Those arriving by ferry or plane into Dublin, have the option of train at Heuston Station or Connolly Station or by bus in Dublin City at Burgh Quay to Arthurs Quay,
both roughly a 2hours 30min journey. A 20 min bus is available directly from the station to the University. Car hire or taxi services are available at both Shannon and Dublin Airport.

Domestic Travelers:
Thanks to its convenient motorway access from Tuam, visitors and exhibitors traveling from the Northwest can reach the UL Sport Arena in less than 5 hours. Attendees from Wexford or Howth can arrive in just over 2½ hours, while those journeying from Dingle will find the trip has been significantly shortened to around 2 hours and 15 minutes. Visitors traveling from Rossaveel will also benefit from a quicker route, with a travel time of just over 2 hours!

Visitors travelling from Northern Ireland/ Kilkeel travel time is approximately under 4 hours. UL Sport arena has numerous hotels situated close to the venue itself, such as the George Hotel in the city center and Kilmurry Lodge.

For International Travelers:

There are also options from Southampton, Exeter, Bristol and Cardiff.

GETTING TO UL LIMERICK
UL Sport, has excellent road, rail and air transportation links. The arena is positioned on the University of Limerick campus in Castletroy, just off the M7. Shannon Airport is only a 35 minute drive away with flight connections available to the UK and Western Europe airports. Limerick City Centre is within easy reach of UL Sport and Limerick (Colbert) Railway Station is a short 15 minute drive away.
