That’s why we’re honoured to contribute to a raffle in aid of L.A.S.T. (Lost At Sea Tragedies) by donating a pallet of 20 compact rubbered pots, each measuring 16 x 22”. These durable, high-quality pots are essential tools for inshore fishermen and represent our commitment to supporting both the industry and the families who depend on it.”\n\n“The upcoming raffle at the Irish Skipper Expo 2025 is a meaningful way for fishermen, suppliers, and industry professionals to come together for this shared cause. By sponsoring a pallet of pots—an essential tool for inshore fishermen—we’re contributing not just a prize but a symbol of the resilience and hard work that defines our community.”\n\nPaul McCrea, MD. SNG also added: “The Irish Skipper Expo 2025 is the perfect platform for this initiative. It brings the fishing industry together to celebrate, connect, and support each other. Hosting the raffle there ensures L.A.S.T. gets the attention and backing it needs to continue its vital work.” “For us at SNG, this isn’t just a corporate sponsorship—it’s personal. Many of us have seen firsthand the impact of sea tragedies and understand how critical organisations like L.A.S.T. are for families facing unimaginable loss. Supporting them is our way of giving back to the communities that shape our industry and our company.”\n\n“As a company deeply rooted in Killybegs, Castletownbere, Union Hall and beyond, we’re committed to strengthening the ties between SNG and the communities we serve. “Supporting initiatives like this raffle highlights the importance of coming together, not just to raise money but to honour those we’ve lost and provide their families with the support they need. If you’re attending the Irish Skipper Expo 2025, we encourage you to get involved. Whether it’s buying a raffle ticket, spreading the word, or stopping by to learn more about L.A.S.T., every contribution matters.”\n\nNew Hand At The Helm For SNG, Castletownbere\n\nJohnny Orpen, manager of SNG’s Castletownbere depot, brings decades of experience and a deep personal connection to the fishing industry.\n\n\n\n \n
