In 2023, Errigal Training Centre supported the RNLI with the delivery of ManOverBoard training at their facility in Falcarragh, Co Donegal.
Frankie Veldman, Owner of Errigal Training Centre explained, “Over four days, we assisted in training 100 Seafarers from ROI & NI and the feedback was immense. We are delighted that we will be facilitating these crucial sessions again in February 2024 in conjunction with Seafish NI & BIM.

Elaborating on their success, Frankie says, “We have seen a 300% increase in customers in 2023, the large majority of whom avail of our partner accommodation offering and spend up to 5 days in the area whilst completing their training. This is a massive success story for us, and we are delighted to continue to expand our staff numbers and contribute to the local economy.”
As first-time exhibitors at the Irish Skipper Expo in 2023, Errigal Training Centre recognise the benefit of the show in providing a setting to meet potential customers in a face-to-face setting and are already making plans for their stand in 2024.
Marketing Manager Noreen Veldman explains, “We exhibited for the first-time last year and were overwhelmed by the interest in Wind Energy, particularly the pending Offshore developments off the Irish Coast. The Expo gave us the opportunity to provide information, not just on our courses, but on the opportunities available in the Renewables sector.
“We are very much looking forward to building on that again at the 2024 Expo and meeting up again all the other exhibitors. This year we will be bringing more of our staff along to experience the energy and the craic.
“We will also be running a draw for 2 GWO Offshore courses (valued at €1500 each) and a few other giveaways over the two days.”
