After two years, the time has come for the commercial fishing industry to gather once again in Aberdeen as Scottish Skipper Expo returns to P&J Live next month on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May 2026.
Held biennially and firmly established as one of Europe’s leading commercial fishing exhibitions, the Expo remains a key date in the industry calendar — a time to reconnect, do business, and reaffirm the strength of the sector face-to-face.
Over 170 Companies Under One Roof
With over 170 companies now confirmed and strong international participation, this year’s event promises a comprehensive showcase of the very latest products, services, and developments across the fishing industry.
At its heart, however, is something far more important — the opportunity to meet, engage, and do business in person.
With only a limited number of stands now remaining, companies considering involvement are encouraged to confirm their place without delay. For final availability contact Sharon Boyle.
Seven Vessels on Display
A standout feature once again will be the display of seven fishing vessels inside the exhibition hall, offering visitors a rare chance to step aboard and experience new builds up close.
The latest addition comes from West Coast Workboats, who will be exhibiting their popular 8m Dry Rider, a proven and versatile vessel expected to attract strong interest across both days.
A Show Built on Industry Tradition
Beyond the exhibition floor, visitors can look forward to valued features that have become part of the Expo experience.
Seafood Scotland will return with their popular seafood tasting area, serving crab claws, mackerel pâté and Cullen skink — a welcome opportunity to pause, meet colleagues, and enjoy the very best of Scottish produce.
Industry Reception – Thursday Evening
The Scottish Skipper Expo Reception, held on Thursday evening at The Douglas Hotel, Aberdeen, will once again provide a relaxed and enjoyable setting for exhibitors and invited guests.
With live music from Poteen, the popular Irish/Scots folk and ceilidh band, alongside complimentary hospitality, the reception remains a valued tradition and a sincere thank you to the industry.
The reception is kindly supported by: Commercial Oils (Certas Energy), Yanmar, and Sunderland Marine (NorthStandard)
Supported by the Industry
The organisers also acknowledge the continued backing of the Expo’s principal sponsors: Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF) and Peterhead Port Authority.
“Where Real Business is Done”
“Scottish Skipper Expo has always been about the people behind the industry. After two years, it’s important that we come together again in Aberdeen — to see familiar faces, welcome new ones, and meet face-to-face. With over 170 companies exhibiting under one roof, it’s also where real business is done, with conversations on the stands leading to orders, partnerships, and long-term relationships. This show is for everyone involved in fishing, and I would strongly encourage you to be there.”
