After a busy first day at the show, exhibitors and their guests filed to the Douglas Hotel, Aberdeen for the complimentary show reception, organised by The Skipper team.\n\nSponsored by Certas Energy (Commercial Oils), Sunderland Marine and Yanmar Europe (Trevor McDonald), the event has become and integral part of the show, providing exhibitors with a relaxed and friendly setting to continue to network and socialise with those in the industry.\n\n \n\nFresh seafood supplied by Messers J. Smith Fish Merchants, GJ Jack Seafoods and MFV Sunrise was prepared into sensational dishes by the excellent catering team at the Douglas Hotel, with everything from monkfish curry to mixed seafood pasta and smoked salmon salad.\n\nAccompanied by complimentary drinks and live music, the event has become a celebration of the fishing industry as it continues to fight against the adversity in recent years.\n\n\n\nAs Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager for show organiser Mara Media explains, “We understand that the industry has faced many challenges, particularly in recent years, and we feel that our complimentary show reception is a great way to express our gratitude to our customers and also to give them an opportunity to celebrate the continued success of their businesses.\n\n“Thank you to our sponsors, seafood suppliers and the fantastic team at the Douglas Hotel, we look forward to working with you all again next year.”
