Successful Visit to Denmark Strengthens Industry Links Ahead of Scottish Skipper Expo 2026

A recent visit to Denmark for DanFish International proved highly successful, with strong interest shown from across the commercial fishing industry in taking part in Scottish Skipper Expo 2026. Many companies confirmed their stand bookings during the visit, including Notus from Canada, Evotec and Nogva Heimdal Propulsion from Norway, and Vonin and Mest Shipyard from the Faroe Islands, while numerous others expressed keen interest, with follow-up discussions already underway.

Momentum for the show continues to build, with over 120 stands now sold and six vessels confirmed for display. The event offered an excellent opportunity to meet both long-standing exhibitors and new companies, with conversations showing continued commitment and interest from the sector. The warm welcome extended by the industry was greatly appreciated, and it was clear that many have missed the Scottish show and are looking forward to its return to Aberdeen after a two-year break.

“It was a real pleasure to meet so many of our exhibitors and industry friends once again,” said Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Sales Manager with The Skipper. “The level of support and encouragement received was tremendous, and it’s clear there is a real appetite for getting together again in Aberdeen – right at the heart of the Scottish fishing industry.”

The positive response underlines the continued importance of Scottish Skipper Expo as a key meeting place for the commercial fishing sector. With preparations well advanced and exhibitor interest continuing to build, the 2026 show will once again provide an important meeting place for the commercial fishing community.
