SFF to sponsor Scottish Skipper Expo at P&J Live
The Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF) will be the main sponsor of the Scottish Skipper Expo at the P&J Live Exhibition Arena in May 2026.
Despite enormous pressures from greatly reduced fishing opportunities in 2026 for key stocks such as cod and mackerel, the spatial squeeze caused by offshore wind farms and continued misrepresentation by eNGOs, the fishing industry is displaying its customary resilience.
And with wild-caught seafood a low-carbon form of protein so important for healthy diets, skippers and their representatives are determined to overcome the significant hurdles that are being put in their way.
SFF chief executive Elspeth Macdonald said: “We are, as ever, delighted to be the main sponsor at the Scottish Skipper Expo in Aberdeen.
“The industry is in a tough place in 2026 and events such as these are important for galvanising resistance to the onslaughts that the industry faces from all quarters. While this year will undoubtedly be challenging on many fronts, we hope to see a good turnout and optimism for the future.
