With just four weeks remaining, preparations are well underway for Scottish Skipper Expo 2026, taking place at P&J Live, Aberdeen on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May.
Held every two years, the Expo stands as the only dedicated commercial fishing exhibition of its kind in 2026, offering a valuable opportunity for the industry to come together once again. It will also mark two years since the sector last gathered in Aberdeen, making this year’s event particularly significant for reconnecting face-to-face.
Over 170 companies are now confirmed to exhibit, representing a broad cross-section of the fishing industry, from vessel equipment and technology to gear, services, and shoreside support. Strong international participation further reflects the Expo’s standing as a key meeting point for the wider European fishing sector.
A distinctive feature of the Expo remains the display of seven fishing vessels within the exhibition hall, including vessels from new exhibitors Ness Marine and North Coast Workboats, giving visitors a rare opportunity to step aboard and view working boats up close.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors can enjoy the popular Seafood Scotland tasting area, offering a selection of high-quality Scottish seafood across both days. Full catering facilities and a bar will also be available within the show centre, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment throughout the event.
The Expo continues to attract strong attendance from across Scotland, including visitors travelling from key fishing communities such as Shetland, as well as from the wider UK and Ireland.
