Leading Journal of the Irish & UK Fishing Industries

The P&J Live Arena is a bustling hive of activity today as the exhibitors stream in to make the final preparations to their stands ahead of tomorrow’s show.

With doors opening at 10am on Friday morning, the venue is set to welcome a large number of visitors from across the UK and beyond over the two-day show. The Scottish Skipper Expo, the largest commercial fishing show in the UK, is widely regarded as a fantastic environment to conduct business, catch up with fishing friends and witness the innovation taking place in the industry.

This year’s show features a huge range of top-class products and services from across the industry, with everything from a creel to a trawler available to purchase.

The range of vessels on display are now in place and ready for visitors to step on board tomorrow. The addition of more boasts this year, featuring products from exhibiting companies, offers visitors the opportunity to check out the designs and speak to the relevant suppliers – all under one roof.

A special reception will be held at the Douglas Hotel on Friday evening, at 7:30pm. Sponsored by Sunderland Marine, Commercial Oils  (Certas Energy) and Yanmar (Trevor McDonald), the event promises to be the perfect opportunity for everyone to relax and socialise after a busy opening day. The event, which will feature live music, will be open to all exhibitors and their guests on an invite basis.

Online visitor registration for the event has now closed but you can show up on the day and register for free. Those who have pre-registered simply need to give their name and company name at the stand and collect their badge – it is as simple as that.
