Scottish Skipper Expo Announce the Return of the Seafood Tasters

Sponsored by the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation and Peterhead Port Authority, Scottish Skipper Expo 2024 will feature virtually every type of equipment and support service available to the fishing industry from across the globe.

As well as the strong overseas representation, the exhibition will also feature 6 vessels on display in the spacious exhibition hall at P&J Live Arena Aberdeen. This gives visitors the unique opportunity to check out a range of vessel designs and meet the suppliers all under the one roof.

One of the most anticipated elements of the Scottish Skipper Expo in previous years was the ‘Seafood Taster’ stand, where visitors could sample a range of seafood delights freshly prepared on site and after a brief absence, Sharon Boyle and her team are delighted to announce the return this year.

“We are delighted to confirm that the Seafood Taster stand will return this year,” says Sharon.

“Facilitated by Seafood Scotland, it will give visitors the chance to try out complimentary seafood bites while making their way around the stands. Due to restrictions and staff shortages in recent years, we were unable to arrange this, but we were determined to secure it for the 2024 show as we know that it is loved by all.

Speaking of their involvement in this year’s show, Donna Fordyce – CEO Seafood Scotland said, “Seafood Scotland is delighted to be partnering with the Skipper Expo to bring back the much missed Seafood Tasters space. We can normally be found showcasing Scottish seafood at trade shows and events around the world so we’re looking forward to catching up with our home crowd over a scallop or two in May.”

Offering all visitors the chance to beat the queues, the pre-registration service is open online where you can secure your free pass to the event and simply collect your badge on the day – visit https://www.theskipper.ie/registration/aberdeen/
