Mara Media, organisers of the renowned Scottish Skipper Expo, are delighted to announce that preparations for the 2026 event are well underway — with over 100 exhibitors and four vessels already confirmed, marking an unprecedented level of early commitment to the show. The strong momentum will be further boosted with a dedicated promotional drive at DanFish International in Aalborg, Denmark this October.
With stand sales already exceeding expectations, Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager, will attend DanFish to meet with international exhibitors and industry representatives, highlighting the benefits of joining the Aberdeen show on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May 2026.
“The Scottish Skipper Expo has long been a key platform for the fishing industry, not only in the UK and Ireland but right across Europe,” said Sharon. “DanFish is the ideal stage to connect with companies, both established and new, and to share what makes Aberdeen such a strong location for the event.”
Exhibitors already confirmed for next year’s Scottish Skipper Expo include FF Skagen, Atlantic Shipping, Karstensens Shipyard, Thyboron Trawldoor, and Hundested Propeller (Denmark), plus Jackson Trawls, Patsy Bruce Ships Painters and Gael Force (Scotland), Zamakona Shipyard (Spain), Seaquest Systems, and Swan Net Gundry (Ireland) — to name just a few of the 100+ companies signed up.
Adding further attraction, four vessels will be housed inside the show venue: G Smyth Boats, Poleson Marine, Audacious Boats & Mouldings, and Warrior Boats — giving visitors the unique opportunity to step aboard and experience the latest in design and innovation.
The 2026 edition promises to deliver the same warm, industry-focused atmosphere that has made the Expo an essential date in the commercial fishing calendar. Sharon’s visit to Aalborg aims to strengthen international relationships while encouraging first-time exhibitors and visitors to take part in what is expected to be another busy and successful show.
“We are proud that the Scottish Skipper Expo has become a trusted meeting point for the fishing industry,” Sharon added. “By attending DanFish, I want to reaffirm our commitment to exhibitors and visitors and ensure the 2026 event is our most successful yet.”
