Leading Journal of the Irish & UK Fishing Industries

With over 130 companies confirmed to exhibit at present, the 2024 Scottish Skipper Expo looks set to be the biggest to date and another fantastic showcase of the commercial fishing industry.

A number of big changes have been made to the event this year, with the show now being held mid-week on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May, giving an increased range of travel options to international visitors and a greater opportunity for all locals to attend as it no longer clashes with weekend events.

As well as a new layout that will allow for more vessels to go on display than ever before and better stand visibility, it was also announced that the event will be held every second year from 2024 to give businesses the opportunity to work on developing new products and services between shows – adding to the overall show experience.

Sponsored by the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF) and the Peterhead Port Authority, the 12th Scottish Skipper Expo will feature many new exhibitors and a strong representation of international companies, all showcasing the very best products and services available to the commercial fishing industry.

Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager for Mara Media said: “We are delighted with the response to this year’s event, with companies from around the world eager to secure their stand space to ensure that they are part of the bi-annual event. It is the biggest dedicated commercial fishing show in the UK and we go to great efforts to make sure that every top quality product and service on the market will be there.

“With 6 vessels now confirmed to be on display inside the exhibition hall, we are delighted that visitors will get the chance to see a range of boat designs and have the opportunity to then speak to all of the suppliers under the one roof – for those looking to build or buy, that is an unmissable opportunity.”
