Kenbro Boats Ltd are the only manufacturer of HDPE boats in Ireland. All boats are designed and manufactured from start to finish in our workshop outside Killybegs in Co.Donegal. Each boat is CE Certified to design Category C and a declaration of conformity to ISO standard. We provide a refurbishment service for clients of existing HDPE boats throughout the country and also provide an offsite extrusion welding service.
We manufacture and fit many custom-designed products (for any HDPE boat type) such as Jockey seats, HDPE consoles, bench seating, storage boxes, push pads, bow steps, stainless steel A/Frames handrails and cleats.
One of the biggest advantages of HDPE boats is their resistance to impact, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. Unlike aluminium or fiberglass boats, HDPE boats can take a beating without cracking, corroding, or denting they are virtually maintenance-free
With increasing emphasis on environmental responsibility, HDPE boats are an ideal solution. HDPE is 100% recyclable and doesn’t release harmful chemicals into the water. In addition, HDPE boats don’t require toxic paints or anti-fouling coatings, further reducing their environmental footprint.
Attending the Irish Skipper 2024 was a valuable opportunity for us to showcase one of our 6m HDPE workboats, engage with clients directly and connect with others in the industry.
We are looking forward to attending the 2025 show, where we will be displaying one of our 8m boats that has been built for the Seamanship Centre in Killybegs. Visitors will have the chance to see the HDPE boat up close and experience its rugged construction, learn about the advantages of HDPE over traditional materials like fiberglass and aluminium and discover customization options for fishing boats, rescue vessels, and more!
