The highly anticipated Irish Skipper Expo 2025 opens its doors tomorrow, Friday 21st March,
at the UL Sports Arena in Limerick. Running until Saturday 22nd March, this year’s event is
set to be the largest yet, with over 140 exhibitors from 13 countries, including Ireland,
Scotland, England, France, Turkey, Poland, Denmark the Netherlands, Newfoundland,
America, and China.
With all exhibition stands now sold out, attendees can expect a wide range of commercial
fishing gear and products, from creels to trawls, all under one roof. A special Boat Mart
outside the venue will showcase five vessels, including models from G Smyth Boats, Kenbro
Boats, Ryan and Roberts, and Audacious Marine. Inside, O’Sullivan’s Marine will display
another vessel, bringing the total to six boats on display.
Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager for the event organiser, Mara Media, said,
“We’ve seen huge interest in this year’s event, especially after our announcement to host
one show per year. We’re excited to bring together both fresh faces and loyal exhibitors to
create an outstanding showcase of industry products.”
In addition to the exhibitors, the National Inshore Fishermen’s Association (NIFA) will be
offering freshly prepared seafood for visitors to sample. There will also be ample networking
opportunities, with the Show Reception at The Terrace on Friday evening, following the
Expo’s close. Sponsored by SeaQuest Systems, Mooney Boats, and G Smyth Boats, this
reception offers exhibitors and guests a chance to unwind and connect.
Visitor registration is now open, allowing free entry and quicker access to the event. With
pre-registration, visitors can avoid queues and dive straight into exploring the show.

The Expo will run on Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
