Irish Skipper Expo 2025 – New Plans, New Dates, New Features!

 True to its motto, “Your Industry, Your Show,” the Irish Skipper Expo continues to evolve each year. The event takes significant steps to reflect the industry’s dynamic nature and address the needs of both exhibitors and visitors.

Having reviewed all exhibitor and visitor feedback, it was found that the overall majority’s preference is to host the show every two years (2025, 2027 etc), alternating each year with the Scottish Skipper Expo. It was also found that the majority of visitors and industry leaders would prefer the show to be held later in the year and as such, the new dates for the 2025 Irish Skipper Expo are Friday 21^st and Saturday 22^nd March.

Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager for show organisers Mara Media explained, “We recognise the changing nature of the industry in Ireland and Scotland and as such, we aim to develop a fantastic exhibition showcasing the very best products and services in the industry – alternating each year to cater to the needs of all of our visitors. Having the event every two years in Ireland will give companies a greater opportunity to work on innovative products and new services to showcase at the show. “

Ireland’s only dedicated fishing exhibition will be held, once again, at UL Sports Arena Limerick, with event organisers Mara Media aiming to add new features to the show, and changes to the current layout to maximise viewing potential and allow for more exhibitors to showcase their products and services.

Commenting on the recent show, visitor Norman Bridges, from Castle Bay said, “Really enjoyed the show, good to see so many options in engines and fishing gear. Some of the exhibitors were very knowledgeable and helpful.”

Also commenting on the recent show was exhibitor Shrey Bansal of Finol Oils who said, “Exhibiting at the Irish Skipper Expo 2024 has been an immensely rewarding experience for Finol Oils. The exposure, connections, and insights gained are invaluable, and we are already looking forward to participating in the next Expo.
