Leading Journal of the Irish & UK Fishing Industries

With over 130 exhibitors from 14 different countries, Irish Skipper Expo 2020 will be biggest and best show yet in the series, providing a comprehensive showcase of equipment and service providers for the commercial fishing industry.

Sponsored by Irish seafood development agency, BIM, and leading marine insurer Cavanagh Hooper Dolan Insurances, the show will be held on 13 and 14 March at the exciting new venue of the UL Sport Arena. The large number of companies in the exhibiting hall will ensure that there will be plenty to interest everyone. There will also be an outside display area for larger items, such as boats and the BIM CTU.

Limerick is the ideal location for the new-look expo, offering a wide range of hotels and other accommodation, along with excellent transport links, ensuring easy and accessible travel (Shannon airport is 35 miles from Limerick, and for those taking the car, driving time from Dublin is only two hours).

For the first time, there will be visitor registration at the expo, and those looking to visit can beat the queues by pre-registering at www.theskipper.ie (although visitors will have the option to register at the entrance).

Sharon Boyle, of Irish Skipper Expo organiser Mara Media, said: “With only a matter of weeks to go before Irish Skipper Expo 2020 opens its doors, we can really sense the mounting excitement. We are thrilled at the huge amount of interest in the event, with the expo being significantly bigger than previous shows.

“There is some outside exhibiting space still available, so I would urge any company thinking of exhibiting to get in touch with us so that we can discuss their requirements and the options available.

“The expo will be a great place to do business, as well as providing the ideal venue for the fishing industry to network and socialise.”

Irish Skipper Expo 2020 will be held at UL Sport Arena in Limerick on 13th and 14th March, opening times 10am – 6pm on Friday 13th and 10am – 4pm on Saturday 14th March. Entry is free.
