Hendy Power is set to make its debut at Irish Skipper Expo where it will be showcasing FPT engines ranges which meet the IMO Tier 3 emissions regulations.
Hendy Power is the FPT industrial authorised distributor for the UK and Ireland handling sales and servicing for its marine applications, and will be exhibiting alongside Kirwan Engineering, its FPT representative in Ireland.
Hendy Power director Andy Smith said that exhibiting at the Expo provides the ideal platform for visitors to learn more about the FPT range and how Hendy Power and Kirwan Engineering can provide marine power solutions to the fishing industry.
“FPT has more than a century of experience in the marine sector with ongoing research and development to provide users with high-quality, fuel-efficient engines designed to guarantee maximum performance and efficiency in the most demanding of sea conditions.”
He said visitors to the show will be able to learn more about the FPT industrial engines and their suitability to the fishing market with Hendy Power experts on hand throughout the two-day event.
The key exhibit on the Hendy Power stand is set to be the brand new FPT Cursor 16 marine engine which has been designed specifically to meet the needs of the fishing industry.
“This will be the first time the engine has been seen in Ireland and we’re expecting a high level of interest from operators looking to update their vessels with the very latest in marine engines,” said Andy. “The engine offers best in class power to weight ratio and at Hendy we can offer the best lead times in the industry.”
Andy said the whole Cursor range offers outstanding power output standards with minimum displacement and the highest levels of reliability together with world-class environmental credentials.
“Environmental concerns are hugely important for the fishing industry now and in the future and with our range from FPT, operators know that they are not only meeting all regulations but there is no sacrifice in terms of performance.”
Hendy Power will be on stand 14 at the show.
