Scalloway and Cullivoe Harbours continue to show strong growth as leading landing ports for the rich fishing grounds to the West and North of Shetland. Their prime location allows fishermen to save time, fuel and money and helps catchers achieve premium prices for freshness and quality. Shetland Seafood Auctions provide the electronic auction service which has contributed towards another excellent year of landings and prices in Shetland.
Scalloway Harbour on the west of the Shetland Mainland offers excellent berthing, landing and services, including large net-mending areas, fuel, fresh water, transport, repairs, stores and ice. Our modern Fishmarket is available to UK fishing vessels operating around Shetland waters, the facility was opened in August 2020 and has brought many benefits for all stages of market operations. This state of the art market provides optimum facilities with catches being maintained at the highest levels of quality.
Cullivoe Harbour at the North of the Island of Yell provides landing & resupply services. This allows vessels to get back on the grounds even quicker, support services are available 24 hours a day, these include fuel, ice, net mending facilities and stores. Engineering services and refrigerated road transport to market facilities are available by arrangement with agents.
