Leading Journal of the Irish & UK Fishing Industries

With doors opening tomorrow, Thursday, set-up is now well underway for the widely anticipated Scottish Skipper Expo 2024. Over 160 exhibitors are currently adding the final touches to their stands, ready to welcome visitors tomorrow morning from 10am.

The strong exhibitor presence, including over 30 new companies attending for the first time, will ensure there will be plenty to interest everyone, with virtually every equipment and support service sector of the fishing industry represented, including marine electronics, deck machinery, creels and trawl equipment, and so much more.

Sponsored by the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation and Peterhead Port Authority, the event brings all the exhibitors together under one roof in the spacious exhibiting hall at the P&J Live Arena, Aberdeen.

With a record 7 vessels on display inside the arena, visitors have the opportunity to see first-hand some of the latest fishing vessel designs and meet the suppliers throughout the venue.

Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager for show organisers, Mara Media, says: “It is great to see the buzz in the arena today, with exhibitors from across the sector ready to showcase their innovative products and services to the visitors tomorrow and Friday.

“Scottish Skipper Expo 2024 will provide the perfect opportunity for fishermen and the wider industry to reunite once again, offering lots of opportunities to conduct business in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with a catering and bar facility also in the exhibition hall.”

While online visitor registration has now closed, visitors can still register for free on arrival to the exhibition hall over the weekend.

Scottish Skipper Expo 2024 will be held at P&J Live on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May, opening times: Thursday 10am – 5pm on Friday 10am – 4pm.
