Leading Journal of the Irish & UK Fishing Industries

With doors opening tomorrow, Friday, set-up is now well underway for the widely anticipated Irish Skipper Expo 2024. Over 130 exhibitors are currently adding the final touches to their stands, ready to welcome visitors tomorrow morning from 10am.

The strong exhibitor presence, including over 30 new companies attending for the first time, will ensure there will be plenty to interest everyone, with virtually every equipment and support service sector of the fishing industry represented, including marine electronics, deck machinery, creels and trawl equipment, and so much more.

Sponsored by Irish seafood development agency, BIM, and leading marine insurer Arachas, the event, brings all the exhibitors together under one roof in the spacious exhibiting hall at the the UL Sport Arena in Limerick ( PO – V94XT66).

There will be vessel displays in the outside arena, giving visitors the opportunity to see at first-hand some of the latest fishing vessel designs. The outside area will also feature displays from the Coastguard and BIM’s Coastal Training Unit and ARC.

Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager for show organiser, Mara Media, said: “It is great to see the buzz in the arena today, with exhibitors from across the sector ready to showcase their innovative products and services to the visitors tomorrow and Saturday.

“Irish Skipper Expo 2024 will provide the perfect opportunity for fishermen and the wider industry to reunite once again, offering lots of opportunities to conduct business in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with a catering facility also in the exhibition hall.”

While online visitor registration has now closed, visitors can still register for free on arrival to the exhibition hall over the weekend.

Irish Skipper Expo 2024 will be held at UL Sport Arena in Limerick on 23rd  and 24th  February, opening times: 10am – 6pm on Friday 23rd and 10am – 4pm on Saturday 24th.
