Boat designer and builder Safehaven Marine specified Cummins power for its latest high-performance Interceptor 48 pilot boat Harbor Thunder. The vessel – the 41st of its type built by the Youghal, Ireland-based company – has been delivered to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
It is powered by a pair of Cummins QSM11 engines supplied by Cummins authorised dealer Southshore Marine. The QSMs deliver 450 hp, allowing the vessel an economical continuous operational speed of 22-23 knots.
