Irish Skipper Expo exhibitor Arklow Marine Services says it is proud of its record of repeat orders from  customers and has recently completed a second 18m fish farm vessel for Mowi (Seoid na Farraige), a sister vessel for Croi na Farraige which was delivered to the company in October 2017.

The Managing Director of Mowi, Jan Feenstra, was so pleased with the quality workmanship and efficiency of Croi na Farraige that at its launch ceremony at Rathmullan Pier, he stated that he would like to have all boats within his company operating to such a high standard.

With an overall length of 18.20 metres, this vessel was designed for the multi-functional operations found on salmon farms and is fitted with water lubricated stern gear, with Duplex 60mm reversible tail shafts, coupled to 34”, 4 bladed propellers, allowing high manoeuvrability.

The main deck is arranged for a 10T, single drum winch, two capstans on the port side, 1 x 3T and 1 x 5T, a 25Tm. hydraulic deck crane mounted forward on the port side and a bow roller fitted amidships.

The deck is laid out to maximise the space and can accommodate 2 x 20’ containers.

The wheelhouse is sited on top of the deckhouse with 360o vision and is well laid out to suit the vessel operator with large windows providing good vision of the working deck. Accommodation including mess room/galley, toilet and stores are provided aft.
